Tyler Alpern is an artist and educator with a long association at the University of Colorado. He graduated from at Occidental College, attended two different schools in Rome, Italy, and earned his MFA in Painting from the University of Colorado. He describes his artwork as technically accomplished, narrative painting with an expressive style and a contemporary slant and is digitally archived by the Library of Congress. ÌýAt this university, Tyler has twice lead the Creative Minds Residential Academic Program, served on various A&S Committees and was given a BFA award for his leadership and service. ÌýTyler's expertise as a histoian is documented in many books, articles, and on broadcast media.
