Earth Science Symposium 2025

When: November 15th, 2025 – 9:00-1:30
Where: Benson Earth Sciences Building
Overview
The 2025 Earth Science Symposium is a research conference hosted by the Department of Geological Sciences at CU Boulder. This is the second year of this event, following the successful New Frontiers in Translational Geoscience conference organized by Leilani Arthurs and the Courage team. We’re excited to host this year’s conference on Saturday, November 15th in the Benson Earth Sciences building and look forward to seeing you there!
The conference will showcase posters on geoscience research conducted by students and early career researchers at CU Boulder and will facilitate networking opportunities with representatives from geoscience-related agencies, businesses, non-profits, and organizations. This is an opportunity to reprise your GSA presentation, prepare for your AGU presentation, or share work from other venues.
Abstract submissions are welcomed. Although the conference is geared primarily for geoscience graduate students at CU Boulder, postdocs and undergraduate students conducting geoscience research at CU Boulder are also welcome to submit abstracts. Abstract submission will open by October 10, 2025,with a submission deadline of November 10, 2025.
Geoscientists and representatives of geoscience-related agencies, businesses, non-profits, and other organizations who are interested in meeting some fraction of the CU Boulder geoscience talent pool are invited to attend. CU Boulder geoscientists collaborating with presenters and/or seeking to fill a lab/research position are also invited to attend.
Although the symposium is free, registration is required for those attending the conference, as well as those presenting.
Conference registration is free and will close on November 10, 2025
