Workshop Aug. 5–6: Understand AI and how it's changing things

Join OIT Research Computing for a free two-day workshop designed for students, researchers, educators and support staff who want to understand better the basics of artificial intelligence and how it’s changing research, teaching and everyday work.

Whether you're new to AI or just looking better to understand the tools, ethics and opportunities, this hands-on event features:

  • Intro to AI concepts and tools
  • Panels on how researchers and analysts use AI
  • Microsoft Copilot "Mystery Story" prompt demo
  • Ethics and career conversations
  • Sessions on LLMs such as ChatGPT for education
  • Networking receptions each evening

Spaces are limited, and the application process is competitive.
