CMDI offers seven programs designed specifically for our students. Whether you’re looking to broaden your horizons, complete a unique internship experience or create lasting community impact, there’s something for you.
These programs are faculty-led and can last from a few weeks to a full semester.

In this immersive program, you’ll complete a customized internship while earning a full semester of CMDI credits, so you won’t need to transfer credits from another institution.ÌýLearn more →
Spend part of your summer completing upper-division credits in historic cities as part of your strategic communication major. You can elect to takeÌý (3 credits) orÌý (4 credits)—or even both.Ìý
Spend three weeks in the United Kingdom, visiting iconic sports venues in places like London, Liverpool and Manchester, while takingÌý (3 credits).
Information science students can takeÌý (4 credits) while visiting landmark locations like Bletchley Park and the White Cliffs of Dover.
Visit historic cities and get hands-on experience through two 9-credit environmental design courses. InÌý, you’ll work with community members and other students on local development projects. InÌý, you’ll visit historic Italian cities while conducting site analyses alongside local students.
In addition to CMDI-specific offerings,Ìý designed to match your thirst for exploration. Studying abroad can begin as early as your first semester through Global Start, designed for first-year students.ÌýÌý
